Fun, busy weekend...

We all had a great weekend....

On Saturday Grama, Uncles Steve and Shawn, and Aunts Lysee and Sheri came for a visit - we had so much fun together. We miss Uncle Steve VERY much and it was nice to all hang out. We even did a corn challenge (thank you Patrick for organizing!!) we had blind taste test comparing Jersey corn with Connecticut corn - Patrick did not believe us Jersians could pick out Jersey corn or that it really tasted better. Of the four of us who took part, all four picked the Jersey corn in a blind test! So there!!

Drew got some fun puzzles from Grama that talk to him when he puts the pieces in the right place...it's fun to hear "Circle," "Oval," "Square" over and over again - LOL!! Drew is loving them though and he's starting to repeat some of the words, which was really the point of the puzzles...

Yesterday, Drew and I went to the Norwalk (CT) Aquarium and met Erik, Marcie, Rebecca and Leah for a fun day. Patrick wasn't feeling well and had to miss the fun, but the rest of us had a good time. Drew loved the seals and the big fish - he was calling some of them "Otto" because he has a book about a big fish named Otto. Rebecca and Leah were too cute with Drew. Rebecca just wanted to pick him up and would not take no for an answer!! She and Leah held his hand and pushed his stroller and argued over who would get to sit next to him at lunch. I tried to tell them he wasn't that exciting to sit next to!! They were too cute and Drew liked the attention I think! He also loved being held by his cousin Erik. It was really a great day. We don't get too many chances to see our cousins in one on one situations, so it's nice to plan these get togethers when we can. We also stopped by Thierry's new house and saw him and Stacy - what a gorgeous house!!! I would love to just live on his back porch!! :)

That's about it from here...Drew had his first speech therapy session last week and it went very well. She said he had a great attention span and gave us some good tips to help him along. He does seem to be trying to repeat more. I'm not too concerned - I know he's a smart little boy and the words will come...
